Job Description

The Internship:
As part of Elaia’s Digital Venture (DV) investment team, you will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Deal Flow Management: Screen and analyze new investment opportunities, and present your findings to the investment team during weekly meetings.

  • Investment Process: Participate in meetings with entrepreneurs and conduct in-depth analyses of potential investments (technology, product, market, business plan, team, etc.) alongside other team members. Contribute to the investment process, including due diligence, and assist with legal and financial negotiations.

  • Internal Projects: Contribute to sector and industry analyses, and help enhance the digital automation of our internal tools and processes.

  • Ecosystem Engagement: Actively participate in ecosystem events such as demo days, pitch competitions, and other networking opportunities.

The internship is based in Paris.

Preferred Experience

  • You have a strong academic background, ideally from a top engineering or business school

  • You’re genuinely passionate about the digital world and the startup ecosystem.

  • Cutting-edge tech doesn’t intimidate you

  • You love diving into complex topics, breaking them down, and explaining them clearly to anyone.

  • Sharing your opinions (and backing them up) is your favorite sport.

  • You’re known for your proactivity, autonomy, and motivation — you make things happen.

  • Fluent in English

Recruitment Process

  2. Intro call: a quick 30-minute chat to get to know each other

  3. Show us your insight: send a short presentation of three startups you think Elaia’s DV team should invest in

  4. First interview: one hour with two members of the DV team

  5. Final round: 1 hour interview with a partner
